Cargo Bike Loan Supports our Food Parcel Scheme
Four Greens Community Trust have teamed up with Bikespace CIC for the Cargo Bike Loan Scheme, which has bought an exciting prospect for our future services.
We were delighted to be selected to trial the Electric Cargo Bike Loan Scheme loaned to us by Bikespace CIC over the next few months, thanks to a recommendation by our local councillor Johnathon Dream. This will allow us to distribute our food parcel service more effectively to those most in need. The bike is to be used to deliver emergency food parcels to members of the Honicknowle, Whitleigh, Ernesettle and Manadon communities that form the geographical area Four Greens Community Trust covers.
Mark Rowles, Business Development Manager said:
This is a great opportunity to try this environmentally friendly form of transport to support over 65 families a week that are receiving food parcels within our community. Our hope is that the bike will be such a success that we can consider purchasing our own in the future.

We are delighted to support FGCT in their work in the community and look forward to working with them to secure funding for them to purchase their own bike in the future.
The signs have been fitted on the Cargo Bike! Thanks to Gareth from Bikespace for organising, delivering and fitting these for us.
