It is incredibly sad to think that in the 21st Century the number of people experiencing poverty, social isolation and health inequalities is rising. The demand for our crisis intervention services at Four Greens Community Trust is at its highest level since we opened in 2014.

Funding to support crisis services is increasingly hard to secure and this is forcing many organisations to reduce, or close their services compounding the situation. Four Greens Community Trust DOES NOT want to decrease the number of services we offer, and this is the reason for this Crowdfunder appeal.

Tin Appeal

The aim of this Appeal is twofold:

To raise 50,000 tins to continue and develop our emergency food service
To promote and celebrate the strong community support and collaborative partnerships we are so thankful and proud of. By clearly being able to demonstrate this support we will also enhance future funding opportunities.

All contributions are gratefully received towards our 50,000 Tins Appeal but the following items help to provide the best level of support to the families and individuals we support.

-Chicken in white sauce

-Vegetable Stew

-Minestrone

-Beans and Sausages

How to donate

Any tins received will make a massive difference to the families and individuals we are working with. To donate, please come to our Hub at 15 Whitleigh Green, Plymouth PL5 4DD, UK, or go to any of our local drop-off points.

Helping People, Changing Lives Appeal

Our Aims

The aim of this Crowdfunder is twofold:

To raise £25,000 to continue and develop our present crisis services
To promote and celebrate the strong community support and collaborative partnerships we are so thankful and proud of. By clearly being able to demonstrate this support we will also enhance future funding opportunities.

Money raised from this crowdfunder will:

Foodbank

Enable our foodbank operation to purchase food for its crisis parcels for families and individuals over the next 6 months.

Signposting and Referral Services

Support our signposting and referral services that support people with issues including homelessness, domestic abuse, substance misuse and complex health issues,

Befriending Service

Fund our face to face and befriending service that works with over 100 members of our community a week

Mental Health Support

Fund our Mental Health Adviser that provides drop-in support for our community and to facilitate specialised Mental Health Services run by partner organisations, including Colebrook Housing and Devon Mind.

Four Greens Community Trust does not want to just place a sticking plaster over the issue. Our integrated service approach means we can also support our community with finance and benefit advice, volunteering, training and work placements, physical and mental health services and community activities. In so doing, we empower our already resilient community to seek ways out of poverty and social isolation, improving their health and wellbeing.
