The Barne Barton and St Budeaux Community Builder works out and about in the community, finding out what groups there are and promoting the many local community groups and activities going on, as well as city-wide organisations and information which I think might be of interest. Working with local businesses and organisations, the aim is to create sustainable, community-led solutions that promote community and well-being whilst identifying the strengths within local communities to foster meaningful connections and drive positive change.

Mike has a history of experience in Health and Social Care and has been involved in community work for the last 15 years. Most recently he has worked in Plymouth, connecting residents to what is going on in their local community and across the city, aiding people to improve their health and wellbeing, education, training and employment opportunities. He has worked with a diverse range of communities, where he has helped organise community events, networked and created connections in the community, documented and promoted community groups as well as city-wide organisations and information. Mike is passionate about working at a ground level upwards, engaging with local communities and partner organisations to create a positive impact.
Interests - Walking on the moors and coastal footpaths.
